Installation Guide

Braille & Tactile Sign Installation Instructions

This sign includes a 3.5" x 4" back plate and a 2.5" x 4" front plate. Double-sided tape is provided for both plates. The back plate mounts to the wall first, then the front plate attaches on top.

Before You Begin

Make sure the wall surface is clean, dry, smooth, and free from dust, oil, or loose paint. For best adhesion, install only on a flat indoor surface.

Step-by-Step Installation

Step 1: Choose the Installation Location

Select the wall area where the sign will be mounted. Make sure the surface is flat, clean, and suitable for adhesive mounting.

Step 2: Clean the Surface

Wipe the wall surface with a clean cloth. If needed, use rubbing alcohol or a mild cleaner to remove dust, grease, or residue. Let the surface dry completely before installing.

Step 3: Plan the Sign Position

Hold the 3.5" x 4" back plate against the wall in the desired location. Use a level to make sure it is straight. Lightly mark the position with a pencil.

Step 4: Apply Tape to the Back Plate

Apply the provided double-sided tape to the back of the 3.5" x 4" back plate. Place the tape evenly near the edges and at key support points so the plate will adhere securely.

Step 5: Mount the Back Plate

Carefully align the back plate with your pencil marks. Once aligned, press it firmly onto the wall. Apply even pressure across the entire plate for several seconds to help the tape bond properly.

Step 6: Check Alignment

Visually confirm that the back plate is straight and properly positioned before attaching the front plate.

Step 7: Apply Tape to the Front Plate

Attach the provided double-sided tape to the back of the 2.5" x 4" front Braille and tactile sign plate. Apply tape evenly so the plate sits flat and secure.

Step 8: Align the Front Plate to the Back Plate

Carefully position the front plate centered over the mounted back plate. Make sure spacing looks even on all sides before pressing it down.

Step 9: Secure the Front Plate

Once aligned, press the front plate firmly onto the back plate. Apply even pressure across the full surface for several seconds.

Step 10: Final Check

Make sure both plates are straight, secure, and fully bonded. Remove any pencil marks if visible.

Important Installation Notes

Install on a clean, dry, smooth indoor surface only.
Do not apply to dusty, wet, textured, or peeling surfaces.
Press firmly during installation for best tape adhesion.
For strongest hold, allow adhesive time to set before touching or adjusting the sign.
